Christmas

Ok, I realize I am a bit late posting these Christmas pics, but better late than never right?

Little Messy Missy lived up to her name eating every chocolate in sight, she got it all over her pajamas, (or pajamies as Whitney calls them) and on the couch! Santa didn't forget her just cuz she is the smallest. She got that rocking horse, new socks, pajamies, books, candy and littlest pet shop stuff.

Aubrey got the sewing machine she was wanting, and some clothes, littlest pet shop, snow pants, books, webkinz cards, bella sara cards and candy. Not too shabby!

Whitney got a leapster 2, socks (which she was actually really happy about!) webkinz cards, bella sara cards, candy and clothes. She also had a pair of red sparkley shoes that fell off the sleigh and she had to wait for Santa to bring them back for her. They finally came on January 3rd. She was so happy and has rarely taken them off!

The girls decorated the tree this year. Here is the finished product.

Aubrey moved around a bit, but could only reach so high, and would ask for help. All in all it was a great Christmas. My kids were happy with there gifts and excited to give to eachother and us as well. I was expecting some tears with Whitney not getting the shoes, but nope she took it like a champ!

For those of you who don't know the story of the shoes here it is... (warning children who know Santa is REAL should not read the following!)

We saw Santa and the only thing she asked him for was Sparkley red shoes. I was then on a mission to find them. I went to five different stores, NONE had the shoes. I found pink ones and asked Whit if they would be good. She said no, I asked Santa for red. He will bring me red. I said well what if he runs out of red sparkles red is a very popular Christmas color, and she just looked at me like I was crazy. So I went online and ordered them on Dec.12 They were supposed to get here the 18th. Well the 22nd came and still no shoes. We had a terrible snow storm and UPS couldn't deliver them. I was so sad! I really wanted to give them to her, there is a guy in our ward who delivers for UPS, he couldn't get them for us either. They were on a truck with 5,000 other packages that was stuck in Bremerton. Anyway long story short they didn't make it. The thing that made it so heartbreaking is that when we went to get the girls in the morning Dan asked if they were excited and Whit said YES! He said Why? and she said FOR MY SPARKLEY RED SHOES! We both died a little inside. It was sooo sad! But like I said she knew they were coming and was ok with it no tears or anything! I couldn't believe it!

More from my Whit Whit

After giving her a lecture about how she needs to sit down and eat her food. She has a hard time focusing on her plate. She says, "Mom, when you talk I get bored" Glad to know I'm getting through! :)


She came up to me the other day and out of the blue said " Mom Santa has slaves." I said "excuse me?" And she looked slightly confused and said, "they help him make toys." I said "Oh you mean elves." And she looked slightly embarrassed and said "yes, elves, Mom what is a slave?" That was a longer discussion.

Before I forget.

Whitney is such a goofball. Some of the things she said today.

(With as much bad attitude as possible) "Mom your not the boss of JESUS!" to which I reply, "Nope I'm not. But I am the boss of you, and it is a big job." To which she says also with bad attitude "Hmph" So I say was that a good choice or a bad choice and she says a bad choice so I said ok then you need to say sorry, so with as much sarcasm as a 4 year old can have she said SOORRY! So that got her a time out. After 5 min she came over to me and said it much nicer, then we had a little chat about how I am the boss of her and how it is my job as the boss to keep her safe and teach her good things to think and do, and how that is a really big job and I needed her help. She said she would help... We'll see. :)

Here's another more random silly thought of hers:

"Mom did you know that I am bigger than Kawailani" (one of her friends) I said "yes you are older than her" To which she replies very matter of factly "Yeah, when she takes off her bracelet she shrinks" That made me laugh. I really don't know where she comes up with this stuff.


"Mom"
"Yes Babe" (I call them all Babe)
"I'm sick"
"Yup, you do have a little cold"
"Can I have candy because I don't feel like eating anything else."
"No"

Why would she think that just because she has a cold I would let her pig out on candy you ask? This is how her little mind works. I made spring rolls last night and she didn't want to eat them. I told her that was all she was going to get so she might as well eat them. She refused. So I figured she wasn't that hungry to begin with. Then Daddy said that she is sick and needs to eat, so she got the special burrito that she wanted. See, in her mind she is sick and needs to eat whatever it is she wants. Smart girl. Wrong, but smart. :)

The first time of many uses...

Here is a picture of the first snow thrower use. It was kinda fun to watch. We are both glad we bought it with all this snow!

YAY!! SNOW!!

Ok here are a whole bunch of pictures all on different days, with different amounts of snow. The girls have been having a BLAST!

Here they are in the snow fort Dan made. He took the snow blower and went around in circles throwing the snow into the center, when it was about a 3ft pile he stopped and dug out the middle. The girls LOVED IT!

It was complete with seating all around it.

Here he is digging out the center, the girls tried to help.

This was Court's favorite place to be.

She did like sliding down the hill, just not on a sled.

Aubrey called this the penguin, and I think it may have been her favorite way to go down the hill.

Whitney liked to go on her bum as well, she didn't quite have the nerve to go head first like a penguin.

Here is a pic of Aubrey going down on the inflatable sled. She said "AWESOME" after almost every ride down.

Courtney didn't want to go down but she sure liked to push her sisters!

Here they are all climbing back up after going down on there bums or penguin style. Courtney had a really hard time, I had to go and get her.

They just looked so happy and stinkin' cute in this pic I had to post it!

We have yet to take them out into the 20 inches, so I'm sure we'll have some fun ones of them trying to walk, sometime soon. More snow is in the forecast with no melting of this stuff, I think when they can no longer walk they will lose interest. Maybe...

OK I'm good, no more snow please!!!

Well it has been a crazy winter storm. It snowed from 2:00 pm Saturday afternoon until Monday morning at about 4:30am. We got a little shy of 20 inches of snow. CRAZY! Here are some pics, then I will post some of the girls playing in it.

I swear there were garden boxes in there. Oh you can see about an inch of them sticking up on some spots!

I couldn't believe we had icicles this big on OUR house! Some of them are over a foot long!

Poor Lainey the snow is deeper than she is tall, if we hadn't cleared a spot she wouldn't have known where to "go"

Our picnic table and playground area. This picture makes it look like more than we actually have, because dan threw the snow onto this area with the snow thrower, so imagine it with a couple of inches less...

I will post some more pics of the girls playing in our winter wonderland in a bit. They were having a blast! I left them out there for almost two hours, and had to make them come in to warm up.

Well hello where have you all been?

Ok so it was actually me that hasn't been here. I don't know where I was really. Nothing much has been going on, well I guess that is not entirely true. We found out we are going to have another baby... I guess that is big news. I am due July 11, 2009 might as well be a lifetime from now. Pregnancy seems to last FOREVER! (said like the Sandlot, that is a great movie) But we of course are hoping for a boy. A girl would be welcome as well and just as loved. I do happen to know I make those real cute. But something different would be ok too! :)

What else? Oh it snowed on Sunday and hasn't warmed up since, in fact it has gotten colder, this morning until 10:00 it was a whopping 17 degrees. Remember I live in Western Washington State. The high today is supposed to be 29 degrees. Ahhh warm... I felt so bad for my fuzzy critters outside that I made them some nice warm oatmeal and gave it to them. I should have taken pictures of that, it was funny. The goats had it ALL over their faces and George (the pony) kept nuzzling his muzzle on his front leg, so he had oatmeal smeared all up and down his leg. They were messier than a two year old! There was oatmeal all over the snow, but they were enjoying it. It made me feel a little better about making them live outside in the cold. We have a heat lamp in the little barn but still 17 degrees plus a heat lamp = cold still!

Whitney came up to me the other day after I had told her she couldn't do something. (I don't remember what it was) And said to me "Mommy when I grow up I won't take care of you." I tried not to laugh and said "Well that isn't very nice to say, maybe I will stop taking care of you now. You haven't had breakfast yet, go get yourself some." She looked at me like I was crazy then ran away. I left her alone for about 10 min. Then went to find her. She was under a blanket in the living room. I got under it with her and we had a little talk. We decided we would take care of eachother whenever we needed help. She really liked this idea and she said sorry, and she loved me and I said the same. Where does she come up with this stuff? She came up to me today and told me this joke,

Hot dog I want another Hot dog!

Then she laughed and laughed. I didn't get it. Anyone? Anyone at all?

Aubrey is so funny, she brings home a paper yesterday dec 15, that is an announcement for an art walk some of her art was chosen to be put in. At the administrative building, I was so proud of her, then I saw that the art walk was for Dec 12 and she had forgotten to give it to us. Was this an accident or is she already embarassed of us? I choose to believe she is just absent minded, she would come by it honestly. (My Mother of course. Did you think I was talking about myself? :) Ok maybe I was. Sorry mom!) She is such a good kid.

Courtney is my little lovey dovey. She came up to me yesterday just to give me a kiss, then went off to play again. So sweet. She is just playing with some dollhouse stuff right now, so quiet and letting me type. Sometime I will love to hear what she thinks about. She knows stuff, she just doesn't say it. :) She got tubes put in her ears, so hopefully that will help and she is in speech therapy, and that sure helped Whitney. Just the waiting part now. I hate waiting (princess bride)

Anyway Dan got to use his new snow blower, I have that I can post along with some other pictures of the snow, but our computer upstairs has crashed yucky, and so all we have is the laptop working at the mo. Someday I will get those pictures posted maybe even today. But for now I better go put Courtney down for her nap. And myself too. I am tired all the time these days.
