Aubrey this time...

I posted these on Facebook, but I wanted to remember them on the blog as well.

Aubrey cracks me up. The other night she wanted a huggle (what she calls a mix between a hug and a snuggle) So I sat on the kitchen chair and she started to huggle me. She was sitting on my lap, and then she started laughing. I said what? and she said you are like Santa all you need is the beard! you have a kid in your lap and a big round belly! That made me laugh. The next morning she comes downstairs and says "Good morning Santa." To which I replied "Ha Ha Ha" Then without missing a beat she said "I think you mean HO HO HO!" And she started laughing REALLY hard. I sent her out to feed the animals... :)


The other night we were snuggling on the couch when out of the blue she takes two fingers and starts "walking" them up my pregnant stomach then she starts singing "the bear went over the mountain, the bear went over the mountain" at which point she started to laugh. She sure thinks she is funny. Of course I was laughing too, but that is beside the point! :)

I'm sure there have been more the kid has come up with but those were the two best, well and the art of bending, but that has already been shared. I love that kid.

Oh and I am so proud of her, she got all 4's on her report card, except PE where she got a 3. But I don't think that counts! AND she completed the 4th grade math, writing and reading curriculum with a 4!!! Not to shabby considering her age should be completing 2nd grade! She is so smart! She loves school and her teacher wrote the nicest things about her. She wrote "Aubrey is one of those rare students. She is cooperative, comfortable with herself, extremely creative, and very likable! I will miss her" She had Mrs. Eathorne for 2nd and 3rd grade and I know Aubrey will miss her too! I have to agree with her teacher! She's a good kid.

Ok so I know this was about Aubrey, but we got Whit's progress report as well and she has been doing great! Her teacher said this about her "Whitney is a sweet natured little girl who is definitely ready for kindergarten! She is a willing helper and friend to all. Whitney has been such fun! I've enjoyed watching her grow." She had Miss Angela for two years for preschool.
Whit is so excited to go to Kindergarten.

Whitney sure knows how to make a pregnant lady feel wonderful.

The other day I was folding laundry and dropped a sock behind something, and asked Whit to get it for me. She looked at me and said, "Do you want me to get it because you are too fat?" Thanks Whit, Thanks.

Then at Church last week we were sitting by a little baby and his mom. She saw the little baby, then looked at his mom, then at me and said to me "She is A LOT skinnier than you mom" Once again thanks. Never mind that she already had her baby and I am 36 weeks prego... :)

1,2,3,4,5 tries your out in machine pitch ball!

We have been enjoying Aubrey's baseball this year! She is really improving and getting to know the game, positions and all the rules. Machine pitch has a five pitch rule, if you don't hit the ball in five pitches your out. BUT if you foul the ball on the last pitch you get another try. It was so funny one time Aubrey tried 4 times and missed, then on the last one she got a foul, then another foul, she stayed "alive" for 6 more pitches! Then sadly she struck out. That was rare though as she usually gets a single every time! She is a great runner, her team is called Blue Lighting and won their last game 20-3!! They have a five run limit then switch innings. It is fun to see her get a little more competitive, but still have a great time!

Free desk!!!

Our computer crashed a couple of months back, and Dan wasn't sure if he could fix it, so we have been using our laptop as our main computer. Well we finally decided to get a new computer, so Dan spent some more money, and got what he wanted, then felt since he was getting a new computer he could try fixing the old one without worry of ruining what did work. Well he is an amazing man who really can fix anything. The old computer is working great so we decided to let the kids have it. We needed a space for it in the house so the little playhouse got moved outside...


Then we needed a desk to put it on, and after spending so much on a new computer neither of us wanted to spend to much on a desk, we wanted something small, and something with at least a little storage for their mp3 players, game software etc. We found this desk on Craigslist for FREE! I love free stuff!

It has really opened up the space in the playroom as well. Aubrey hasn't seen it yet, so we'll see what she thinks. She doesn't like change AT ALL! But maybe for a computer to play/work on she will think it is ok. I plan on making a cute cover for the chair, when that gets done I'll take a pic. Might be after the baby though... :)
