What happened to those 5 months?

Holy cow! I can't believe I have neglected my blog for soooo long. So much has happened but I don't even want to catch it up with photos! I will have to just do a little writing to catch you up and then post pictures of the here and now. Ok lets see, oh, well Halloween was fun, but you'd really need to see the pics of that... and Christmas was GREAT the girls got a Wii and just about everything else they wanted. Wow that was like two months in two sentences, this is MUCH easier! HAHAHA ok lets see January was Whit's 6th B-day and we did a Build a bear party and they all had a blast! Feb was Valentines day and we created 56 little valentines boxes they were pretty much the cutest things ever! And now it is March. Oh in January I started to potty train Court, which is still an ongoing thing... Pee good, Poo good only on occasion! Umm... now we are all caught up and I will be doing better on keeping up with the blog, at least once a week!

Ashley is almost 8 months old and has had 2 sinus infections already. What the heck! My other girls haven't ever had 1! She is a cutie pie and such a sweet girl I am so lucky to have her in my family. I would enjoy her even more if she would sleep at night... She was sick for about 3 weeks, lost a pound and stopped eating solids. So she stopped sleeping through the night and we are currently starting the whole sleeping through the night schedule again.

Courtney as mentioned above is potty training. She is a mess, it is a good thing I love her so much. She is talking much better and I can understand almost everything she is saying now. Her little attitude still gets her in trouble, but she is getting better. I wish she and Whit could learn how to get along... Someday, right? She makes me laugh all the time. She was looking for a yo-yo and I said you ARE a yo-yo and she said I not a yo-yo Ashley the yo-yo. I a apple. Aubrey a banana." ok. If you say so Court! I'm just glad I wasn't the yo-yo! Court started swim class at the base and I am sooo excited about that! It is only 26 dollars a month for 1/2 hour lessons 2x a week! I got all three kids signed up for 78 bucks. It was great. I love a great deal! Every where else around here is about 50 for the same lessons. She is still undecided if she likes it or not.

Whitney is also doing swim lessons and she LOVES them. She also is taking a tap/ballet class and seems to like that, she says it is a lot of work though. It is good for her, she tends to be my kid that wants to sit and play video or computer games. She is starting to read and doing really well. Her attitude is improving daily and she is really growing into a beautiful little girl. She can be really helpful and happy and I appreciate those days! She has her moments, but most of the time she is positive about situations and other peoples ideas. She is a bubbly little monster! I mean girl. :) And everyone who knows her loves her! :)

Aubrey is Awesome. Just ask her! :) She is a very helpful, smart and fun girl to be around. I love her so much! She is sooo GOOD! She isn't perfect however and once in a while shows it! :) She is doing a 4th grade play on the 18th I will take pictures of and post. She loves to be creative, and make people laugh. She too likes swim lessons and thinks it might be fun once she is a little better to join a swim team. We'll see... She has a friend that does it and it sounds... involved! 4 days a week, and once a month they have meets to compete. Sounds fun too, but like I said she would have to really improve, but if it is something she wants I know she can do it. She is learning to be more organized. (She got her disorganization from... ME! I hate to admit it, but we all know it isn't DAN! lol)

Dan is plugging away at work and still has all his projects here he likes to work on. He was playing on two different basketball teams and that kept him busy too! He loves to teach and play with his girls. One of my favorite things to do is watch him take apart old tech stuff (dvd players, humidifiers, tape rewinders etc) and explain to the girls how they work. He is a smartie pants and I think I'll keep him around!

I am having fun raising these kids. I am staying busy cooking, cleaning, driving, playing, and reading to the kids. The animals also keep me busy and I love it! I have been playing Basketball Monday mornings, floor hockey Wed nights (my fav!) and volleyball fri mornings. I think I am going to have to stop the morning play for a while, as Ashley no longer will sleep anywhere but her car seat while the car is moving or her crib. That's ok though she will not need a morning nap forever! :) I also have been creating crafts with my Cricut and think I might have an addiction!

I will post pics soon, and probably will even include some from the last couple of months!

Aubrey's birthday #9

While waiting for everyone to get here we let out the chickens and the girls had a great time chasing and catching them. They would catch them and then throw them up in the air to watch them flap back down. They all thought this was great! Her birthday party was all about food.

We played a game called penny in the flour, it was a tradition for me growing up. Put a penny in the middle of a big mound of flour. Take a butter knife and cut away the flour. Whoever makes the penny fall into the flour has to get it out with their teeth. Loads of fun!



Madison made it fall, and Analise "helped" her get it! Hahaha!

Dan walked by and threw a bit of flour on the girls. Starting a BIG flour fight.

Here he is cleaning up the mess. It was super dusty. I will post a video of how he cleaned the girls off. It was funny!

We did donuts on a string.

We had a relay with the egg on the spoon, eating food with chopsticks, unwrapping a chocolate bar with spoons, and eating Jello with no hands.

We also played bologna darts. The girls all got to throw pieces of bologna at a dart board I drew on a chalk board. They thought this was great to!

Since her birthday theme was food we made "pizza" cake. It is Lemon Cake with Lemon frosting and the "pepperoni" is haw flakes! :)

GG visits

Here is a pirate ship we wanted to tour, but got there 20 minutes after it left. We chased it for a while trying to get a better picture. They changed the time of the tour from 4-6 to 10-12 and we didn't know it. We tried to go do some other touristy stuff but since school was back in everything was closed. :(
